There is an entry fee of $35 per category.
Only Online Digital entries will be accepted. Up to five digital image files can be submitted online, with each file saved in a TIFF or JPG format, no larger than 3 megabytes each. Images should ONLY be of the artwork. Do not include matting, frame, etc. in the image.
LABELING YOUR DIGITAL FILES
Each file must be labeled in the following format: artists last name, first initial, and category being submitted. For example for an entry in the Self Portrait category your file name would read: smith.j.selfportrait.tiff

The Annual Members Only Competition is open to all Portrait Society members in good standing. Each fall, up to five categories are offered to which members can submit up to one artwork per category. All work must be your own original design and concept, created independently, completed in the last three years (since July 2008 for the 2011 Competition) and have never won an award in any previous art competition. Electronic/computer generated or altered artwork, work done in a class, workshop or under supervision is not eligible. The FAQ from last year's competition is below.
