The Sargent Circle

What is the Sargent Circle?

Building on the philanthropy of generous individuals over the past 25 years, members of The Sargent Circle play an important role in helping to sustain this international organization into the future with the same ambition of the founders.

By supporting The Portrait Society, a 501(c)(3), with your initial donation and an annual sustaining gift, you will automatically become a member of The Sargent Circle, named for John Singer Sargent (1856-1925), one of America’s greatest portrait and figure painters. His commitment to exceptional quality and education was undimmed in his lifetime. This group of supporters share his interest of art education and will help preserve the legacy of The Portrait Society for generations to come. They ensure that those who follow will continue the traditions of fine art portraiture and figurative work.
