Congratulations to the winners of the first International Self Portrait Project
Thank you to everyone who participated by either entering or voting during the International Self Portrait Project. This fun and interactive project was launched this summer to challenge artists around the world to paint, draw or sculpt a self-portrait created during the global pandemic quarantine. Artists uploaded their entries to a public site, and the winner was decided by people’s choice via online voting. Meant to be a fundraiser as well as an art sharing project, the project received world-wide support and raised more than $37,000 in support of the Edward Jonas Memorial Fund and The Artist Fellowship. It was inspirational to see the variety and depth of work being created, even in these unusual times. The winners were announced on August 27, 2020 by Mary Whyte during the Welcome to the first Live Webinar Conference event. Here are the winning self portraits.
