the North Carolina Museum of History. Attendees were treated to
an in-depth discussion of Dawn's philosophy and approach to the
figure, as she painted North Carolina State Ambassador, Tom Edgerton.
The Saturday workshop began bright and early, with an 8:30 check-in
at Artspace. Once again, guests were invited to Luana Winner's private
studio for refreshments before the event began. Four models posed
for the sold out event for attendees who were encouraged to work
in the medium of their choice. Dawn Whitelaw and Edward Jonas were
constantly moving through the space, offering suggestions and constructive

up their supplies, attendees were treated to portfolio critiques
with Whitelaw and Jonas. The critique session wrapped up after an
hour, and attendees and staff exchanged goodbyes and words of appreciation
for yet another wonderful Portrait Academy.
